The wedding plans

Mario proposed to Rebecca during their holiday in Europe. "Unbeknownst to me, Mario had asked my parents for permission a few weeks before we left for the trip." Due to a mix up with their accommodation in Santorini, Rebecca and Mario had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite with a balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea. It was here, while the couple were enjoying the picturesque views, that Mario asked Rebecca if he could take her photo looking at the view. "When I turned back around there was Mario waiting on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hands. I was so shocked. A few moments after I said a delighted, 'Yes' fireworks lit up the sky!"

"Our wedding planning was predominantly carried out by my mum, my sister and myself. Having a sister as a fashion designer was really helpful for choosing the gowns and outfits. Everyone was very supportive and brought Mario and my dream wedding to life. As soon as our wedding car pulled up to the church I was so happy and excited. This was the moment I had been waiting for and I couldn't wait to see Mario!"

Bridal couture

Rebecca wore a Pallas Couture gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and intricate lace design. "It was modern and elegant," Rebecca said. The gown was complemented by the feminine, dusty pink coloured dresses worn by Rebecca's bridesmaids and flowergirls. "We wanted to replicate my gown in a cute, classic style for the flowergirls and matched the lace to do so. Mario and his groomsmen's suits were clean and sharp."

Fresh blooms

Rebecca and Mario's wedding flowers were neutral in colour with classic whites, creams and soft pinks. "The table centrepieces featured an abundance of roses and orchids as well as some greenery." The table settings were complete with candelabra, silver rimmed charger plates, mirrored flower boxes, votive candle holders and sparkling glassware.

The reception

"Mario and I both love Kings Park in West Perth. So Fraser's was the perfect venue for our wedding. It boasts incredible views of the city and surrounding scenery. As a little girl I had always loved the venue and wanted to get married there."

The overall look for Rebecca and Mario's wedding featured classic colours of white and cream with accents of gold and pink. Their 'RM' logo was showcased on the dance floor beneath Fraser's dramatic chandelier. Rebecca and Mario's wedding stationery was supplied by Olympia Creative. " Our menus were round, with white and black writing. Each menu was personalised, with the guest's name handwritten in gold."

Cake swing

"Our wedding cake was designed by Anna from Anna's cakes. She has been creating cakes for over 30 years. The 4 tier masterpiece blew us away when we first walked into the reception. It was displayed on a cake swing and was a real focal point of the reception." The vanilla, lemon and chocolate sponge cake was covered with white vanilla icing and decorated with fresh flowers.
